AKA We’re not sure. still deciding... Accounts, Marketing, wherever I’m needed!
I have had the pleasure of watching this company grow. My parents started Icy Mountain Water when I was 3, back in 1992. My sister Amanda and I thought it was the coolest thing. We got to have empty water bottles in our room, and we were able to see our parent’s business grow over the years! We moved into different locations, and we both tried to help wherever we could. In 1999, we saw this massive store that we were going to move to. You could roller blade from one end to the other!! We thought this was amazing. We got to see how hard mom and dad worked for an entire year renovating, and getting the new shop ready every chance they got. In 2000, we had our big grand opening. It was a great time. I was only 11 years old and got to meet the mayor! When I was 14, I was lucky enough to start doing payroll, and other odd tasks around the store. When I was 16 I took on a full-time position, Accounts Receivable Accounts Payable. I didn’t know what a packing slip was. My mom had quite the task ahead of her trying to train me. In Dec. 2009 we bought a business called Tradebank (now Barterpay). All these things combined kept me pretty busy. On March 20, 2012 my son Cayson was born. He quickly came to work with me and started meeting our customers. Every day I feel so blessed to be part of such an amazing journey, and to have the opportunity to be able to work with my son! In 2015, I left Icy Mountain Water to run our Barter company full-time. It became too hard to do both as both Companies grew. On June 1st, 2018 I came back to Icy Mountain Water, full-time (yet again) to help my parents start to cut back. It hasn’t happened yet. BUT I hope to take some weight off soon, so they don’t have to work QUITE as hard.
Icy Mountain Water will always hold a piece of my heart, with all the hard work and support from the community we continue to grow. I could not be prouder.
